I realize by now that The...Very amusing review Kim. I realize by now that The Jazz Singer is ridiculed and/or scorned by most people today and only considered for the introduction of sound. But I actually liked this film. Of course a lot of it is silly, racist and merely a showcase for sound and Jolson's songs, but I find the traditional/religious versus modern/secular conflict quite interesting.
