If the climatic scene is better than what's in CTHD then it must be pretty good. Kimberly J.M. "Crouching Tiger" led me to later discover Zhang Yimou's "Hero" (where I realized that my favorite Asian actor, Tony Leung, could be as moving in blockbuster epics as he is in the very personal films of Wong Kar-wai), "House of Flying Daggers" and "Curse of the Golden Flower." Also became a fan of Zhang Ziyi in the process. That character appears in the next book in the series that this film was based on.Chip Laryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00787403805554027107noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8672005424133365490.post-24340506819870742832012-08-16T20:23:17.758-04:002012-08-16T20:23:17.758-04:00Kim, great review of an excellent film. You're...Kim, great review of an excellent film. You're right about the focus not being on the action sequences, although one of my favorite scenes is the big showdown between the two female leads. Although the fight scenes are indeed awesome, I don't think any of them top the climax of IRON MONKEY.Rick29https://www.blogger.com/profile/08358116647815569722noreply@blogger.com
